Research and Conservation

Based on scientific research, the wildlife resources of the country need to be identified, understood, conserved, and information disseminated for better management and policy formulation.

Development and Utilization

 

The different forms of wildlife utilization and the respective contributions to the economic development of the country will be promoted.

Policy Issues

Recommendations on policies, and laws for better conservation of the wildlife resources of the country will be made on major national and international
conventions.

Education and Capacity Building

Education and capacity building programs will be identified, strengthened, and
developed to inform the public, and education leaders, to create a future generation of conservationists and practitioners.

Community Participation

WSD will encourage communities to manage and conserve wildlife resources.

Organizational Capacity

The WSD will build and maintain the organizational capacity necessary to operate its programs, provide services and run an effective organization.
